Structural reinforcement in open stores

At Marlin Shopping in Verón we reinforced the structure of a store that stayed open, without stopping its operation. Customers kept shopping while bolted columns and reinforcements were fitted to the existing structure.

The key to this kind of job is that almost nothing is fabricated in the store: everything arrives cut, drilled, welded and painted from the plant, ready to bolt at the agreed hours.

The drawings of a commercial building that has been in use for years rarely show what was built. So we start by measuring on site with digital equipment and surveying the real structure. With that, our multidisciplinary engineering team checks which members carry load, which need reinforcing and how to do it with the least impact on the business.

You receive the 3D model of the reinforcement and a clear quote, with what it includes and the delivery time.

The most common jobs are: increasing the roof load for air-conditioning units or panels, opening a wide bay by removing a column, adding a mezzanine or a second floor, or recovering a structure with advanced salt-air corrosion.

After the reinforcement, the structure is recorded with its QR-code plate, and the Coast Plan lets it be checked regularly so the problem does not come back.
