Mezzanines and second floors for shops and offices
When the premises get too small, moving is not always the answer. A steel mezzanine uses the height you already have: offices above the shop, storage above the workshop or a second floor above the house, without starting from scratch.
New floor space inside the same building
Many industrial buildings and shops have clear height that goes unused. Steel columns and beams form an intermediate platform for administrative offices, stock storage or a display area. It is the same thing we have planned for the warehouse of our new plant: a mezzanine, a goods lift and every product in its place.
The mezzanine is fabricated in the plant and erected in a few days on site, so work on the premises can go on in the meantime.
Checking the existing structure
Before loading an existing building you need to know what it can carry. We measure with digital equipment, and our multidisciplinary engineering team reviews the current structure and decides whether the mezzanine bears on it or has its own columns. If reinforcement is needed, we do it: at Marlin Shopping in Verón we reinforced the structure of a store that stayed open, without stopping its operation.
Staircase, railing and finishes
The mezzanine includes its staircase and railing, made to measure. If the space faces the public, the railing can carry laser-cut pierced panels in a Seagram design or your own, and the structure is painted in your brand colour.
For houses and villas we build second floors in steel framing, with pitched roofs or terraces, along the lines of the ideas shown on our ideas page.
Steps of a mezzanine project
The process is short: you send us a photo of the premises and the clear height, we visit to measure, model the mezzanine in 3D with its staircase and railing, and send you the price with what it includes and the delivery time. Once the model is approved, we fabricate in the plant with progress photos on your phone and erect on the agreed dates. When it is done, the mezzanine is recorded with its QR-code plate and its warranty.
