Curved roofs for sports courts
A covered court gets used at midday and in the rain, not only at sunset. We fabricate curved metal roofs for basketball, volleyball and multi-use courts, with the curved-chord truss and the roofing made in our plant and erected on columns at your site.
Why curved
A curved roof covers the whole court in a single span, with no columns inside the playing area. The arch leaves headroom in the middle, where the ball flies, and comes down at the sides, where the stands and walkways are. Rainwater also runs off the roofing without stopping.
One of our jobs is exactly that: a curved metal roof over a basketball court, the picture you will see on the steel structures page.
For schools, clubs and communities
Covered courts are a typical project for schools, clubs, gated communities and town councils that want to give people a place for sport and gatherings. The same roof serves for school events, patron-saint festivities or a fair.
If the project needs it, we complete the court with Seagram-design benches, pierced waste bins and the electrical panel for the lighting, assembled on our electrical assembly line.
How we make it
We draw the court in 3D with the cross-section and side elevation; our engineering team checks the truss. In the plant we laser-cut, bend, weld and paint. On site we raise columns and trusses and fix the roofing.
The structure leaves with its QR-code plate, and the Coast Plan checks rust, paint, anchors and bolts, which matters for courts a few kilometres from the sea.
What helps us quote
To prepare the quote for a court roof, a photo of the site, the rough size of the court and what surrounds it are enough: stands, walls, trees or nearby buildings. If the court already exists, tell us whether it has fixed basketball backboards or volleyball posts, because they decide where no column can go. With that information we schedule the site survey and send you a clear price, with what it includes and the delivery time.
Frequently asked questions
What court sizes can you cover?
We make it to fit your court. Our engineering team sets the truss for the span and height the use needs.
Can you cover a court that already exists?
Yes. We measure on site with digital equipment and place the columns outside the playing area.
Is the lighting included?
We assemble the electrical panel on our assembly line. The scope of the lighting is set in the quote.
Do you work with town councils?
Yes. We work with builders, developers and institutions all over the Dominican Republic.
