Aluzinc roofs in Puerto Plata
The north coast takes the Atlantic head-on: wind, waves and salt air. For hotels, villas and shops in Puerto Plata, Sosúa and Cabarete we make plain and tile-profile aluzinc roofs to measure, and the steel frame when it needs renewing.
Hotels being renewed
Puerto Plata was one of the country’s first tourist destinations, and many of its hotels and villas are several decades old. Replacing roofs is part of almost every refurbishment: the old sheet is replaced with tile-profile or plain aluzinc, and the frame that carries it is checked and, if needed, reinforced or replaced with a steel frame fabricated in our plant.
In a hotel that stays open we work by zones, with the sheets already made to the right length, so each block spends as little time as possible under works.
The Atlantic head-on
Unlike the south coast, the north coast is exposed to Atlantic waves and winds. Salt air hits beachfront roofs harder. So we pay attention to the fixing of every sheet and to regular checks of the bolts, which are the first thing to rust.
The Coast Plan checks rust and corrosion, tightens the bolts and delivers a report with photos.
From the east to the north
Our plant is in Bávaro, at the eastern end. Sheets and frame travel fabricated and numbered by roof zone, so in Puerto Plata they are only installed. Before fabricating we visit the site to measure with digital equipment.
During fabrication you receive progress photos on your phone, and you can visit the plant by appointment if you travel to the east.
Villas and shops
In villas in Sosúa and Cabarete, tile profile is the most requested; in shops, warehouses and canopies, plain sheet. Colours include white, blue, green, yellow, wood, red, terracotta, brown and black; the chart is confirmed with the quote.
Send us photos of the roof, the location and the building’s use, and we send a clear price, with what it includes and the delivery time.
Rainy season in the north
On the north coast the rainy season does not quite match the south, and the fronts that arrive in winter bring days of rain in a row. It pays to schedule re-roofing in the driest weeks and arrive with everything fabricated, so no roof stays open longer than necessary.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work in Puerto Plata, Sosúa and Cabarete?
Yes. We work all over the Dominican Republic and abroad.
Can you replace the roofs of a hotel that stays open?
Yes. We work by zones, with the sheets already made to measure.
Do you check the roof frame?
Yes. Our engineering team reviews it and, if needed, we fabricate a new one in steel.
