Remote monitoring of panels: what it measures and when it pays off
An electrical panel does not warn you when something is wrong: it simply fails. Remote monitoring changes that. It measures what is happening inside and sends alerts to your phone when something is out of the ordinary. This guide explains what is measured, what you gain and who it makes sense for.
What is measured
Consumption, voltage and temperature on the main panels. Consumption shows how much and when each area uses power; voltage reveals grid swings that damage equipment over time; temperature catches connections that are heating up, a frequent cause of panel faults.
What it alerts
Alerts reach your phone when something is out of the ordinary: consumption out of hours, a voltage that drops or rises, a temperature that climbs. With monitored transfer switches, it also alerts you when the generator starts, when it fails or when it is due for maintenance.
Who it is for
Hotels and resorts, where an outage is felt in every room at once. Shops with fridges or equipment that cannot lose power. Industries where a fault stops the line. And villas whose owners live abroad and want to know everything is working without relying on a phone call.
From data to savings
Consumption data also helps you spend less. With an energy study we measure consumption, show you where it is lost and propose how to lower the bill. Since the metering stays installed, afterwards you can check whether the saving holds.
Automation
The same panel can automate processes: pumps, motors, irrigation, lighting. Automation makes equipment work when it is needed and no more, and monitoring confirms that it is doing so.
On new or existing panels
On a new panel, metering is built in during assembly on our electrical line. On an existing installation, we assess what can be added to the current panels. Send us photos of your panels and what you want to watch, and we send a clear price, with what it includes and the delivery time.
Maintenance with data
Monitoring does not replace the on-site check, it guides it. If a panel’s temperature rises week after week, the Energy Plan visit already knows where to look: it checks hot spots with a thermal camera, tightens connections, cleans, tests the transfer switch with the generator and delivers a report with measurements. The Complete Plan combines remote monitoring with priority service and a visit calendar with automatic reminders.
